Profile[]

Appearance[]

The Boogie Man is a tall blue monster with sharp teeth, long crooked gray horns on his head, and bumps all over his chin. He wears reddish orange sunglasses and a white suit with a pink collar.

In "The Powerpuff Girls Rule!!!", his skin is colored purple instead of blue.

Personality[]

As the leader of the Nightmare Monsters, the Boogie Man loves disco parties. He is confident in carrying out his plan to sustain the darkness, appointing his associates to tend to various tasks to set up his scheme.

After his hotly anticipated entrance, the Boogie Man makes a speech about the Nightmare Monsters' longtime confinement to living underneath people's beds, introducing his plan as a way to lift this limitation and allow the Nightmare Monsters to party all day, forever. This indicates his devotion to his plans.

Associates[]

  • Jerome: A small green monster wearing orange shades and a yellow jacket and supposedly the Boogie Man's right-hand man. He also appeared in the Gameboy Advance game as a bouncer who would not let the girls in unless they had a password.
  • Scissors: A bird-like monster, phoned up by Jerome as the Boogie Man requests he cut the power with his jaws, as it being a step in his "grand master plan."
  • Boogie2

Maggot Monster: No real name given, some sort of slimy worm-like monster wearing a hat who warns the Boogie Man about the sun coming up, appears in the opening screen of the show, in the background of the disco club in Him-and-Seek, and even alongside the Boogie Man as he cameos in The Powerpuff Girls Rule.
  • Cat Monster: A female, orange skinned, giant feline-like monster wearing leopard skin patterned pants and shirt. She frightens the girls and tells them "Yeah, little girl. I thought you liked to party!" Then, she tries to slash her with her claws, but Buttercup punches her out with one uppercut, making her fly away into the distance. She is credited as "Cat Monster" in the credits and voiced by Tara Strong.
