this is about the original buttercup too, do you think buttercup's grumpy and irritated personality is because the professor named her 'buttercup' because it starts with a 'B' ?? the movie proves it ever since she was made she was smiling happily, but when the professor named her she turned into a different person entirely, (you can watch the movie on dailymotion or kisscartoon)

I know this is an old thread, but I thought I'd throw in my opinion.
No, I don't think buttercup just spontaneously went from happy to grumpy due to the Professor naming her. It's more likly she already had that personality when she was made, like the other two, but merely didn't display it until then.
Even after that, she still has happy moments like when she got money from the pressor in "Morel Decay". She wasn't angry before being named because there wasn't anything for her to be angry about.
