- This is the third Halloween episode after The Squashening and Midnight at the Mayor's Mansion.
- This is the first time the Powerpuff Girls were portrayed as the villains and vice versa. However, this happened as a result of them being turned into witches.
- The plot of this episode is similar to Puffdora's Box.
- This marks the 100th aired episode of The Powerpuff Girls 2016.
- This is the first time Blossom's bow is stolen in the reboot.
- Blossom uses a vacuum cleaner for a broom while she was still a witch. It's a homage to Bette Midler's character Winifred in the Disney film 'Hocus Pocus.' Also Mojo Jojo being turned into a cat is an homage to the character Zachary Binx.
- The costume that an elderly character wears in the mob scene resembles Buttercup's Sargent Bones costume from the episode The Squashening.
- The scene where Morbucks transforms into an ogre could be a reference to the DreamWorks "Shrek" franchise of films.
- Blossom references the Wicked Witch Of The West from "The Wizard of Oz" when she says "come here my pretty."
- Despite no longer being a cat, Mojo coughs up a hairball near the the end of this episode.
