The Powerpunk Girls

The Powerpunk Girls, as they appear on the cover of the Powerpuff Girls comic: "Déjà View."

The Powerpunk Girls or PPNKGS are the evil counterparts of The Powerpuff Girls from a parallel universe and the complete opposites of their heroic counterparts. (except for Brute's personality, which are simply Buttercup's negative traits amplified without any of the positives.)

Overview and Appearance[]

They were created by Oppressor Plutonium, but there is currently no information about their creation, nor their ingredients.

They have similar proportions as their counterparts: large heads, large eyes, and small bodies; however, unlike the Girls' uniformed outfits, sleeveless dresses, white tights and black Mary Janes, the Powerpunks wear different outfits from each other. They live in a city called Vilestown and enjoy destroying everything, grossing people out, and dominating their surroundings.

Personalities[]

As their evil counterparts, they are the opposite of the Powerpuff Girls. Not much is known about their personality due to their debut and sole appearance being in a comic. From the comic, it is shown that they are somewhat sassy and quick thinking, as well as excited that they have a brand new city to destroy. In the comic, they state the following:

  • "That oughta teach ya!"
  • "No one messes with this city..."
  • "Unless we say so!"
  • "And we say so!"

From this dialogue, it is shown that they are very possessive of their city.

Berserk:[]

Berserk, as she appears in the Powerpuff Girls comic book: "Déjà View."

Berserk is the opposite of Blossom and the self-proclaimed leader of the Powerpunk Girls. She is cruel, controlling, and sarcastic, whereas Blossom is caring, polite, and smart. She possesses little of Blossom's conservative morals of logic and instigates conflict among her sisters. The only notable trait she shares with her counterpart is her intelligence. However, unlike Blossom, Berserk uses her intelligence for evil instead of good.

As for her appearance, she has long, wild red hair held into a spiky ponytail by a red "X" hairclip and a large, messy crimson ribbon in her hair, contrasting Blossom's neat hair and bow. She wears a red non-sleeved shirt with a red button and collar. She also has a crimson plaid skirt, white tights, and black Mary Janes. Her signature color is crimson.

Brat:[]

Brat, as she appears in the Powerpuff Girls comic book: "Déjà View."

Brat is the opposite of Bubbles. She is sassy, uncaring, and troublesome, in contrast to Bubbles, who is sweet, friendly, and sensitive. One big difference between Bubbles and Brat is that while Bubbles is the timid one of her group, unlike Bubbles, Brat doesn't cry. Instead, she only complains. Brat enjoys sassing people and being troublemakers. Her element is salt, and her signature color is cerulean blue.

As for her appearance, she has long blonde pigtails held by blue bows. Brat also wears a blue tank top with a semi-circle neckline at the top that stops above the navel and a black mini-skirt. She wears six bangles on her arms. For her footwear, she wears white tights with black boots.

Brute:[]

Brute, as she appears in the Powerpuff Girls comic book: "Déjà View."

Brute is the opposite of Buttercup. Like her counterpart, she is the most violent and rebellious member of the group. However, she does not limit herself in any situation, including her violence. None of Buttercup's positive traits, such as compassion, care, and calmness, are present in Brute. She enjoys being cruel and crude towards everyone, including her sisters.

As for her appearance, she sports a black, spiked rockstar hairstyle. She wears a black dress with dark green stripes on each side going down vertically with a dark blue spiked belt and bracelets, one on each wrist. She wears white tights and fishnet stockings, along with black boots. Her signature color is dark green.

Trivia:[]

  • Berserk is the only member who doesn't wear boots. Instead, she wears Mary Janes likes all of the Powerpunk Girls' good counterparts, the Powerpuff Girls.
  • Like The Rowdyruff Boys, they are also evil counterparts to the Powerpuff Girls.
  • They were also going to appear in an episode of the original series, but never did due to the amount of time and work put into The Powerpuff Girls Movie. That unfinished episode eventually became the 50th DC Comics issue of the Powerpuff Girls titled Déjà View.
  • In Powerpuff Girls #62, a letter was published asking for more issues with the Powerpunk Girls. Johnny DC replies:

"Why would you ever want to see them again? Those were bad, bad girls from a twisted dimension! (Well, I guess they were kind of cool, especially with their hair...)"
